Denise Cortes Biography
Denise has been a resident of the Pocono Mountains since 2003. Originally from Puerto Rico, her parents relocated to New York before Denise was one year old. She moved up to Pennsylvania from New York with her Husband Ralph and 2 small daughters. Like many, the family moved to the Pocono Mountains Region for better schools, lower property taxes, and quality of life.
Denise has been a licensed Realtor® since 2007. In addition to her real estate career, she has been a Support Staff Substitute for the Pocono Mountain School District since 2004. Prior to that, Cortes worked with PHRAS Inc. where as a Case Manager; she provided leadership to 160+ Home Attendants who provided home care to over 80 clients. As a Supervisor, Denise oversaw 5 Case Workers. Cortes obtained her AAS in Business Administration from SUNY Farmingdale State College, in Farmingdale, NY. She also graduated from The Pocono Real Estate Academy in 2007.
Currently, Denise is a proud mother of 14 and 18 year old girls. Cortes explains, “My girls keep me busy, between the fundraisers and activities through the PMYSA Soccer Association and the time we volunteer with Keystone Athletics and their Pocono Blast Soccer Tournament, I get to spend a lot of quality time with my daughters. I cherish that, I really do. They are the reason that I work as hard as I do.” Just last fall, the family experienced the transition of seeing their older daughter off to her first year of college at West Chester University. Mom is still adjusting.
Personally, Cortes donates her time to the Annual American Red Cross Blood Drive and the Sierra View Clean Up Day. Professionally, Denise is a REALTOR® with Pocono Mountains Real Estate, Inc. which serves the beautiful Pocono Mountains Region. She takes pride in her enhanced bi-lingual communications skill set, and the unparalleled customer service she provides to her clients and customers. Ms. Cortes welcomes the opportunity to show why, if you are selling or purchasing real estate in the Pocono Mountains, you shouldn’t make your move without her.
